The Data, Intelligence and Architecture Lab (DIAL) conducts research at the intersection of data management, computer architecture and systems design. Our work is shaped by two fundamental changes. The performance-to-cost ratio of hardware is not improving, while demand for data processing keeps increasing. Second, AI is changing how we understand and query our data and how we build the systems that serve it. We are part of the Systems Group at ETH Zurich.
